They just require a keen eye to spot them. Luckily, the codes are never too far away. You will need to track down these safe code locations first unless you want to try brute-forcing your way into each safe (and turn Dishonored 2 into a safe-cracking simulator instead). Unfortunately, these codes are usually randomized. It is beneficial for you to find these safes, as they will often include valuable collectibles, such as runes or bone charms. But that doesn't mean you can't take a detour to loot a few safes along the way, right? Several safes are dotted around the beautiful maps of the Dishonored series, just waiting to be unlocked. The second option eliminates the bloodfly nests in the present but Stilton's staff will occupy the manor instead, making it difficult to evade detection by time traveling.Dishonored 2 is all about taking on the role of Corvo or Emily and urgently attempting to save the world from the sinister Delilah before it's too late. Incapacitating Stilton preserves his sanity – a fair fate considering he didn't want to help Delilah anyway – and prevents the dilapidation of his home. Killing Stilton means the manor is put up for sale and remains unoccupied in the present. Doing nothing maintains the present that the player has already experienced. Incapacitating or killing Stilton before the player witnesses the ritual that causes his breakdown alters history up until the present day.

Such chatter makes it clear that all those involved are wary of Luca and Breanna's scheming, including Stilton, who considers feigning illness to avoid partaking in the ritual. While creeping through the mansion in the bygone era, the player can not only see the palatial abode in its full glory but also overhear conversations among the Grand Guard. Stilton's manor is one fit for a mining magnate of his stature, though no one would know that based on its present condition.
